A permit was granted by the Borough Council to Mrs E. J. Mahar on 9 December 1930 for the construction of a house on Lot 33 of 20, Maratahu Subdivision, Belt Road (now Sanders Avenue) – B. Frewin was the builder, and the estimated construction cost was £800.
