This home was constructed in 1919 for Mr Edgar Douch - the architects being well known local firm Messenger and Griffiths.
A permit was granted by the Borough Council to Douch on 12 March 1919 for the construction of the home - Simmons and Beamish were the builders, and the estimated construction cost was £800.
The exterior of the home is in relatively original condition, with wooden windows, roughcast/stucco finish, and riverstone chimney.
