A permit was granted by the Borough Council to E. J. Ulander on 27 April 1918 for the construction of a cottage in Dartmoor Avenue – F. H. Whitehead was the builder and the estimated construction cost was £600.
Eric John Ulander occupied the house from construction until the mid-1930s, with the occupant thereafter being Arthur E. Moss.
